Show Prep

This upcoming weekend, December 6th and 7th I'll be a vendor at the Annual Holiday and Hometown Arts and Crafts Show in Leesburg, VA. This will be my 3rd year at this show and I'm really looking forward to greeting old customers and to meeting new ones. This year for a little added fun, I'll put out my button rings. They're adjustable and colorful and once they're gone, they're gone.
Also new in my booth this year are the Cup Cozies. These have been just FLYING out of my Etsy shop. A cup cozy paired with a coffee shop gift card is the perfect gift for anyone because it is not overly personal, it is good for the environment, and can be used even if you're not a coffee lover~ get tea, apple cider, or hot chocolate! Here are a few of the newest designs:
If you're planning to be near Leesburg this weekend, click on the banner below to get directions to the show, admission is FREE and it is INDOORS! Hours are Saturday 9am to 4pm and Sunday 10am to 4pm.

Craft Show Shopping

It is a nice treat when I get to attend a craft show as a relaxed shopper rather than a busy vendor. It is even nicer to meet people from Etsy that I didn't know prior to that day. On Saturday I was drawn to a vendor's very pretty booth and there I met Julie of EAB Designs.

Although she describes herself as being new to Etsy, she started her company 10 years ago. In addition to these pretty frames, her shop also carries journals, albums, and magnets. Have a look at just a few of the pretty frames she makes:

I'm having a lazy day. Well, maybe a lazy couple of days. I did get a little bit of sewing done while the kids were at school, but I have a lot completed projects I need to photograph and I just haven't made it happen yet. I love the designing and creating part of my business, but not the marketing and selling parts. If I could just choose fabric and sew things without the rest of the work, I'd be a little happier.
I do enjoy meeting people face to face at craft shows~ it is a great thrill when someone stops by to tell me how much their best friend or their Aunt so-and-so loved the bag she bought from me last year. Repeat customers are good for the ego! Of course, meeting new people and new customers is also a very good thing :)
Maybe tomorrow will be a more productive day. It will be if I make it one!
